Coach Rugby

A rugby coach is essentially a person that coaches people on how to play rugby. In most cases the coach will be qualified or highly experienced at playing rugby; there are both amateur and professional coaches. The qualified and experienced coaches will often be employed full time by professional rugby teams; the coach will provide numerous pieces of advice and guidance on rugby. Amateur coaches will often train and coach younger people that are in rugby teams on a hobby basis. There a professional qualifications that can be completed, this will provide an individual with the rugby coach status.

How much a rugby coach will be paid depends entirely upon the job role they hold and their competency as a coach. Obviously those that work part time and in amateur teams will be paid far less than those professionally qualified full time working rugby coaches. In most professional rugby teams the coaches are individuals that have had substantial careers playing rugby. The coach will often also take up the role of the manager and this means as well as coaching the players the coach will also be involved in selecting the side and tactics. Rugby coaches that also take up the role of the manager are often paid a substantial amount of money.

In general a rugby coach is present in order to provide a range of advice and guidance. This advice can be relating to specific matters within rugby or playing rugby in general. Most commonly a rugby coach will provide advice on tackling; for example how to tackle and also how to tackle to ensure maximum efficiency. Other matters that may be focused on include how to pass the ball correctly and how to run with the ball in an effective manner.

A rugby coach may simply be present to provide advice as and when it is required. Rugby players will continue to be coached and provided with advice regardless of their competency. This is on the basis that there is always room for improvement within a players game. There are usually rugby coaches that are specialised in different areas; for example there will general fitness coaches and there will be tackling instructors. As well as these there will also be kicking instructors and these are coaches that are high in demand. Rugby coaches that have a proven track record will be in great demand by professional rugby teams.
